about

We had known Tessa (someone) for a few years while living in Amsterdam. Every time we would meet there was this magical burst of creative energy. So we decided to jump in the studio and see if we could make an EP together in a week. Out of the four tracks we recorded I immediately thought that How I Feel would be a perfect fit for the Klangstof album. Tessa manages to deliver such a chill atmosphere with her vocals. I think that’s something I would never be able to achieve with my voice.

lyrics

true surrender
come through to me
blue the moonlight
let the city ease into sleep
but oh

baby take a look around
is this love for real?
the closest thing i’ve found
but that’s just how i feel
nothing else matters now
it’s more than a teenage thrill
but let me tell you this, without a doubt
is how i feel

my mind, a feather
it’s light to the touch
turn to face and i’m
on the steady wave of us
but oh

baby take a look around
is this love for real?
the closest thing i’ve found
but that’s just how i feel
nothing else matters now
it’s more than a teenage thrill
but let me tell you this, without a doubt
is how i feel

Klangstof Amsterdam, Netherlands

In the aftermath of recording their (still officially unannounced) third album, Amsterdam alternative formation Klangstof (Koen van de Wardt, Wannes Salomé, and Erik Buschmann) weathered an inspiring but emotionally-taxing storm, recording their most open-hearted, sonically ambitious material yet. This became Ocean View a four-song release that offers a candid glimpse of the band’s wavelength. ... more
